Front & External Doors in Basingstoke
A new timber front door is a carpentry job: the leaf trimmed to the frame, three heavy hinges, a multipoint or mortice lock cut in cleanly, weather seals and a threshold that keeps the rain out, and the frame made good inside and out.

Front & External Doors: your questions answered
Do you fit uPVC or composite doors?
Our work is timber. For uPVC and composite doorsets you are better served by a window company, and we will say so.
Can you fit a new front door into the existing frame?
If the frame is sound and square, yes. Often the frame has suffered more than the door, in which case we replace both so the seals and locks line up properly.
Will the new door be secure?
Yes. We fit locks to British Standard BS3621 or multipoint systems as you prefer, hinge bolts on outward-opening doors and we make sure the frame is fixed well enough to back them up.
