Bathroom Renovation in Basingstoke

Not every bathroom needs ripping out. A renovation keeps what works, usually the layout and sometimes the bath or the suite, and replaces what lets the room down: dated tiles, a leaking shower, a grubby floor, poor lighting and worn decoration.

What bathroom renovation includes

We will tell you honestly what is worth keeping. Re-tiling around an existing suite, swapping a bath for a walk-in shower, or replacing a vanity and floor can give you most of the effect of a new bathroom for a good deal less, and in a shorter time.

  • Re-tiling walls and floors over sound substrates
  • Bath-to-shower conversions
  • New vanities, basins, WCs and brassware
  • Re-sealing, re-grouting and fixing leaks properly
  • Lighting, mirrors, extraction and heated towel rails
  • Full redecoration

Bathroom Renovation: your questions answered

Can you re-tile without removing the bath?

Usually, yes. We protect the bath, strip the old tiles back to a sound surface, make good and re-tile. If the bath itself is damaged or the seal has failed behind it, we will show you and discuss replacing it at the same time.

How much disruption is a renovation?

Less than a full installation. Most renovations are finished within a week to ten days, and the water is only off for short periods while fittings are swapped.

Can you match existing tiles?

Sometimes, if the range is still made. More often we suggest a deliberate contrast, such as a new feature wall or a new floor, which looks intentional rather than patched.

Do you fix the cause of a leak or just the damage?

The cause. A leaking shower is usually a failed seal, cracked grout or a tray that was never supported properly. We find it, fix it and then make good, so it does not come back.
