Bathroom Tiling in Basingstoke

We tile every bathroom we fit, which is why the cuts in our photos land symmetrically, the pattern repeats line up and the niches are bordered neatly. Tiling by the same person who sets out the room is the single biggest difference between an ordinary bathroom and a good one.

Shower room in white metro tiles with a walk-in shower, frameless screen, LED mirror and grey wood-effect floor, fitted by Basingstoke Bathrooms

What bathroom tiling includes

We work with large-format porcelain, marble-effect slabs, metro and vertical stacked tiles, patterned encaustic-style floors, herringbone and mosaics, and we take as much care over the grout colour and the silicone lines as over the tiles themselves.

  • Setting out so cuts are even and centred on the key wall
  • Large-format and slab tiles on levelled, primed walls
  • Herringbone, stacked, brick-bond and patterned layouts
  • Mitred external corners or trim to match the brassware
  • Underfloor heating beneath tiled floors
  • Re-tiling over existing bathrooms as part of a renovation

Bathroom Tiling: your questions answered

Do you do tiling on its own, without a full bathroom?

Yes, within the Basingstoke area: re-tiling a shower enclosure, a bathroom floor or a kitchen splashback. For very small jobs we may ask to combine it with other work on the same visit.

Can you tile over existing tiles?

It is possible on sound walls but we rarely recommend it: the build-up pushes fittings out and the result is never as flat. Stripping back and re-boarding gives a better finish and lets us check the walls behind.

Which grout colour should I choose?

Matching grout to the tile makes the surface read as one piece; contrasting grout shows off the pattern, especially with metro or herringbone. We bring samples so you can see both against your tile.

Do you fit underfloor heating?

Yes, electric mat systems under tiled floors are part of most of our bathrooms. The final electrical connection is made by a registered electrician we work with.
